GOD’S SEAT The Stolen Seat
I ask you…
why do you rate or hate people
because they don’t look the way you believe they should?
Who made you our guide,
given you the right to decide
that some are greater or less?
Sounds like you
made a big mess.
Why do you name those who wear a dress
as everything less than you?
Who gave you the right to choose
which ones are winners
and what makes others
sinners?
The ones you choose to abuse
because they wear tattoos.
Separating sisters and brothers
by calling them others
because they are different colors.
Who gave you the right to steal God’s seat?!
How dare you use it
to beat and defeat,
dividing us into others.
Labeling and restraining
our unique colors.
About the Poem
God’s Seat challenges the human tendency to judge, label, and divide others for being different. It explores the many “colors” we carry within and choose to express outwardly—through our appearance, clothing, tattoos, identity, creativity, individuality, beliefs, and the unique ways we show the world who we are. The poem questions who gave anyone the right to decide that one way of being is greater or lesser than another. At its heart, it is a call to stop separating humanity into “us” and “others” and to recognize the beauty in all the colors that make each of us uniquely human.

Loved God's Seat. It is so profound & true. God created us all & he doesn't judge so why do we. We're all brothers & sisters in God's eyes!
